The translation is by Edward Roth. 24 chapters; 25 b/w illustrations; an appendix titled, The Moon Hoax, by Adams Locke. The frontispiece is a fold-out map of the moon; 1 1/4 in. of the left side of the moon illustration is missing. The pages are tanned. A water stain on the top corner of the text block runs a little, up to 1/4 in., onto several of the page corners. A 1/2 in. stain is on the back of a plate; the stain is lightly shadowed on the page margins that face each side of the plate. Dark water stain is along 7 inches of the edge of a plate's margins. The bottom margin of one plate has two crease lines and four closed tears. One plate's front margin has a linear 1 in. chip along the edge. The front margins of four pages each have a 4 1/2 in. split that is tipped back together with glue. The last page and the back endpaper each have a ragged, 3/4 in. closed tear that is tipped back together with glue. Scans e-mailed upon request.
