This is a presentation copy from editor Walter Dexter to Alain de Suzannet, whose Dickens collection was renowned as one of the finest. It is inscribed by Dexter to Suzannet on the half-title page; Suzannet's bookplate is inside the front cover, and Dexter's bookplate is on the facing free endpaper. Limited edition of 525 copies, but this copy is unnumbered and out-of-series. Illustrated with 8 plates and 6 tipped-in facsimiles of letters. Podeschi D201.
