It begins by addressing the widespread speculation and subsequent fall of the scheme, and moves on to discuss the difficulties the author saw in finding a remedy. The author offers a number of proposals for addressing the crisis, including a general restitution, as well as examining and reforming the scheme. This book offers a unique perspective on financial bubbles and manias, and seeks to find a solution that would not only address the symptoms of the crisis but the root causes as well. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
