This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in Publisher's original sot covers with red title lettering to upper cover.No dust-jacket.This has NO previous ownership inscriptions present.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness.A fascinating history of this leafy part of North London with 12 splendid illustrations by Dudley heath in B&W.Their are many wonderful old advertisements at the front and back of the book of local firms around the time of 1900 and onwards.Plus this copy has an old fold out map of East Barnet and Southgate at the back of the book and laid in,dated 1887,this would be a reprint taken of that map.The book is undated but their is a preface from the Rev Stooks dated 1906.This likely to a reprint from an earlier issue of the book around the 1940's.12mo scarce title 70pp plus adverts Size: 12mo.

Republished. 80 pages, a slim volume (width103mm) which appears to be a republication of the original of 1906, per the Introductory Preface. This copy not dated and no real clue. Assumed to have been published by Wynchgate Press whereas original publishers, per the reproduced title page, were F R Taylor of Southgate and Palmer's Green, and Walker Round of Enfield. Historical contents. Book in overall poor (or maybe poor+) condition yet perfectly readable - marks on front and rear paper covers; some erasure marks on first page; internally, apart from one or two marks, in good+ condition; a repair effected to what is effectively the rear end papers to protect a 1cm tear at top of rear cover.
