Hardcover. Condición: Good. Octavo, landscape-oriented. Andersen's tale of a soldier who, with the help of some clever dogs, comes into fame and fortune here is related in six pop-ups scenes designed by Vojtech Kubasta. Some pop-ups more creased than others, sliding element at fourth spread detached but present, cellotape repair to dog at second spread, previous owner's writing to first spread, pictorial boards slightly skewed. A rarer instantiation of Kubasta's work. Good.…

The boards open to reveal a large pop-up Nativity Scene in color. 12-1/4 x 8-1/2 inches, publisher's cloth-backed boards illustrated in color. Tiny crease to the neck of one of the Three Magi; slight rubbing to the edges of the boards.

With eight pop-up color illustrations in fine working condition by Kubasta. 8vo, publisher's cloth-backed boards printed in color. Fine.
