An exceptionally scarce SIGNED catalogue of an exhibition of the late Czech painter, graphic artist and illustrator with preface, introduction and notes by: Kentaro Hayashi, Seiji Oshima, Czech ambassador Ing. Karel Houska, and Vlasta Cihakova-Noshiro. Text printed in parallel columns in English, and Japanese. "It is our great pleasure to present this exhibition of the work of Ota Janecek, a Czechoslovak painter invited to Japan this year by The Japan Foundation. Mr. Janeck is well-known in Europe as a representative of contemporary Czech art; in Japan, he is very highly regarded as an illustrator of children's books, and known for his painting by specialists.
