Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. First edition. A scarce and fascinating book, amassed with local detail, and a wonderful step back to yesteryear! Gilt titles to brown cloth, and the map still contained perfectly at the rear of the book. Pages rough cut. A few tiny marks to cloth, but overall a super edition of a sought after title. Añadir al carritoFirst collected edition. Publisher's original quarter navy cloth and green paper-covered boards, with titles to the upper board and spine. Untrimmed pages. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some bumping and rubbing to the extremities, the boards and little scuffed and marked, and with some fading to the spine. The closed text block edges are spotted. The contents, with a previous owner's decorative bookplate to the front pastedown, a few unobtrusive pencilled notes on the contents page, and a little spotting, are otherwise clean throughout. Scarce in this form. An anthology bringing together the three annual volumes of Oxford Poetry for 1914, 1915 and 1916. Of particular interest is J. R. R. Tolkien's poem 'Goblin Feet' (pp. 120121), written for Edith Mary Bratt, his future wife, and first published in Oxford Poetry 1915. The anthology also features contributions from Aldous Huxley, Dorothy L. Sayers and Naomi Mitchison (who would later become a devotee of Tolkien's works).
