An die Redaktion der "Rhein- und Mosel-Zeitung" mit dem Angebot seiner Dienste für eine Erweiterung des Korrespondenz-Repertoires in Richtung Schweiz: "Die Rhein- und Mosel-Zeitung erhält dadurch einen besonderen Werth, daß sie nicht selten interessante Korrespondenz-Nachrichten mittheilt. Aus der Schweiz liest man jedoch in derselben nichts Eigenthümliches. Diese Lücke könnte ich, ihr Züricher Korrespondent des deutschen Couriers, deßen Beiträge in der Regel von diversen Morgen-Zeitungen nachgedruckt werden ausfüllen helfen [.]". - Der gebürtige Brüsseler Coremans war in den 1820er Jahren wegen Aufruhrs aus Wien verbannt worden und hatte die "Erlanger Zeitung" herausgegeben. Anfang der 1830er Jahre editierte Coremans in München die radikale Nürnberger Zeitung "Die freie Presse", wofür er mit Strafen belegt und eingesperrt wurde. Im Gefängnis schrieb er mit einigem Erfolg drei deutschsprachige Bücher, "Die Stimme aus dem Kerker", "Kerkerblumen" und "Die göttlichen Befreier".
