This anti-Nazi writer went into exile due to his "degenerate views" according to the Nationalist Socialist Party he was not a good German. His writing was burned in Germany in the 1930's. The 1926 work printed here with this series of illustrations is considered a 20th century classic. It was written whilst in exile in Switzerland. Translated into English by Cyrus Brooks.
