Brussel, Rutgeert Velpius, inden gulden Arent by t'Hoff, 1604, small in-8°, title with engraved vignette +(1)(bl) + (1)(vermaen totten Leser) + engraved frontispiece + (8)nn pp + 208 pp + (2)(approbatie) + (1)(printer's mark) + (1)(bl), modern marbled boards, gilt lettering on spine. First five leaves with old marginal waterstain, some pages with minor stains but a good/fine copy. Rare early account ( probably the very first !) in Dutch of the worship for the Virgin Mary which developed during the Counterreformation in Roman Catholic Brabant in the early 17th century.
