Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book offers a unique examination of the social and industrial policies implemented by the Netherlands Yeast and Spirit Factory in the late 19th century. The author, a co-director of the factory, provides a detailed account of the progressive system of labor organization and social welfare programs pioneered by the company. These included minimum wage guarantees, profit sharing, insurance premiums, and the establishment of a "Social Kernel" to represent the interests of the workforce. Positioning this system within the broader context of industrial relations and social reform during the Industrial Revolution, the author explores its impact on the lives of the factory's employees and their families. The result is a fascinating case study of how enlightened labor practices can foster worker satisfaction, productivity, and community well-being, offering valuable insights for understanding the evolution of labor relations and the pursuit of social justice in the modern era. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
