He was a member of the Ukrainian Social Democratic Workers' Party (USDRP) and the Central Rada in 1917 and 1918, a delegate to the Labor Congress in 1919, and a USDRP representative to the Socialist International. After the Revolution, he lived and worked in Prague, London, and Munich, writing numerous books on Ukraine's Liberaton Movement, as well as short historical novels, including the current one.

159 pages. 22 cm. Text in Ukrainian. The cover shows minor wear with some creases and small tears, and the pages are yellowed with age but remain intact; the last page and rear cover slightly chipped on top right. There is an inscription from the author on the inside, dated "Munich, 27. XII. 78.".
