Book is like new. ; 0.3 x 8.7 x 6 Inches; As an eye witness to the devastating attack at Pearl Haror, Bob Weber tells the story of his Dad's journey from Shaniko, Oregon to the Naval base on that Sunday morning, Dec 7, 1941. His father, Oscar, who ran away from home at the age of 15, & became a cowboy in Eastern Oregon, was in the Navy most of his adult life. Bpb grew up as a Navy "brat", & lived a peaceful life in Hawaii until that fateful Sunday morning when he went with his Mom to pick up Dad at Pearl Harbor, just before the bombs began to fall. He had a front row seat to watch the planes swoop over & over, bombing & strafing everything in their sight. Their escape & eventual evacuation is an interesting part of history.; Signed by Author.
