Añadir al carritoExtremely rare official Cuban government Spanish-language edition of the Treaty of Versailles (Tratado de Paz entre las Potencias Aliadas y Asociadas y Alemania, firmado en Versalles el 28 de junio de 1919), translated by the Secretaría de Estado de la República de Cuba and printed in Havana by Rambla, Bouza y Cía., 1919 ? the same year as the signing. Cuba was a signatory to the Treaty of Versailles, having declared war on Germany in 1917, and sent a delegation to the Paris Peace Conference. This volume represents the official working translation produced by the Cuban Foreign Ministry for ratification purposes, making it a primary government document of Cuban diplomatic history rather than a commercial publication. Two significant features of provenance: (1) an embossed oval stamp of the República de Cuba / Asuntos Generales y Tratados Internacionales / Secretaría de Estado on the title page, confirming the document's official government origin; (2) an Art Nouveau-style printed ex libris (tree motif, blue ink) on the front pastedown, with a printed purchase receipt (Nº 012092) from a Cuban commercial establishment. Covers heavily worn and partially detached; interior condition to be verified and described before listing. An exceptional primary source document of Cuban and World War I diplomatic history, of a rarity that no commercial catalogue can reflect.
