In lovely Victorian cloth binding by John Leighton and initialed in the design by him. 101 pages with large head-piece engravings to each page. Front endpaper has contemporary inscription "Edith Grace Draper with Aunt Martins love, November 26th 1863". This page has been relaid or cut and then replaced? Spine and edges are a little worn, some pages a little proud but a good copy of a scarce little book for children. A nice ornate full gilt cloth binding too by the more innovative designers of bindings of the mid-19th century. Small slim octavo.
