A fascinating collection of writings from Ambroise Pare, a French barber-surgeon who is considered one of the fathers of surgery and modern forensic pathology, as well a pioneer in battlefield medicine, anatomy, and inventor of medical equipment - such as the "Bec de Corbeau" a precursor to the modern day hemostats.
