Añadir al carritoSoft cover. Condición: Very Good. 1st Edition. An attractive original 1937 edition of the popular standard 'What Will I Tell My Heart?', with words and music by Peter Tinturin and Jack Lawrence. The striking Art Deco-inspired cover features a portrait of celebrated bandleader Vincent Lopez, whose orchestra helped popularize the song during the golden age of network radio and ballroom entertainment. Published by Crawford Music Corporation, the piece was issued for voice and piano with guitar chord diagrams and reflects the sophisticated popular-song style that bridged Tin Pan Alley and the emerging swing era. This is the 1937 Crawford Music Corporation first edition, confirmed by the copyright notice printed on the music page. The rear cover advertises another Crawford hit, "That's Life I Guess" (1936), while the inside front cover promotes songs from the London musical stage production This'll Make You Whistle, including "I'm in a Dancing Mood," "My Red Letter Day," and "Crazy With Love." These original publisher advertisements provide useful period dating evidence and document Crawford Music Corporation's active catalog during the mid-1930s. Condition: Very Good Plus. Complete and firmly bound with no detached pages. Light edge and corner wear and minor rubbing at the extremities. Interior pages are clean with only light age toning. No writing, stamps, or ownership markings observed. Music remains bright and highly legible. Although remembered today as a jazz and pop standard, "What Will I Tell My Heart?" first gained widespread exposure through orchestral performances by Vincent Lopez, one of America's pioneering radio bandleaders. Lopez was among the earliest nationally broadcast orchestra leaders, and his endorsement on sheet music covers significantly increased sales. Peter Tinturin (1907-1980) was an American songwriter, playwright, and screenwriter whose compositions were recorded by many of the leading vocalists and orchestras of the swing era. Jack Lawrence (1912-2009) became one of the twentieth century's most successful American lyricists. His career spanned more than six decades and produced enduring standards including "All or Nothing at All," "If I Didn't Care," "Beyond the Sea" (English adaptation of La Mer), and numerous songs recorded by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Perry Como, and others. Vincent Lopez (1898-1975) was one of America's pioneering orchestra leaders, achieving fame through hotel ballroom engagements, radio broadcasts, and recordings beginning in the 1920s. His orchestra introduced numerous popular songs to American audiences and helped launch the careers of several prominent vocalists.…
