Some foxing to the sides of the pages. the hinges are still intact.

Jacket is now complete and has been placed in new mylar = displays OK. The author has made horses and horsemanship the study of a lifetime and his book should be of the utmost value both to horsemen and trainers, the novice and the experience man. He deals with the types of horse, including the hunter, the performing horse, and the trotting horse, and describes the various vices of horses, showing how kindness and patience - the humane method - will prove unfailingly successful even in the most refractory cases. Mr. Thorn describes many amusing tricks which horses can be taught, entirely without cruelty. Under the chapter "Little Things Worth Knowing" he includes much useful profitable information based on his own experience. A most interesting book covering much ground and including the careers of most of our best horsemen.
