Periodical. Condición: Very Good. Beautifully signed by Hunter Thompson at 'Destination Weird' article front page: "HST". Additional script below this and horns placed on Bill Murray's head. The unchained imagery by Bill Reiser features Hunter in Fear & Loathing garb in red Caddie with Bill Murray in place of Raoul Duke riding shotgun, police in tow, and smoking black boat bringing up the rear. The extensive article goes on location for the filming of 'Where The Buffalo Roam'; a wild near parody of the author's antics played by Bill Murray. Thick, classic issue from July, 1980 features Dorothy Stratten, the PMOY, on the cover. She would tragically die shortly thereafter at the hands of her estranged husband/handler/manager. Moderate cover, edge wear. Pages near fine. Saddle-stitch bind intact. From contents: On location with the people audacious enough to try making a movie on the life and times of Gonzo Journalist Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, one of the few true kamikaze mentalities this side of Japan. From this month's contributor page: "Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, Gonzo Journalist, free-lance tester for the DEA and prototype for the character Duke in the Doonesberry comic strip, is now the subject of a movie, Where The Buffalo Roam. We could think of no better writer to cover the event than Craig Vetter, whom we tried to kill off a while ago through our Pushed To The Edge series. Vetter survived that, but it probably wasn't nearly as difficult as his on-location article, Destination Hollyweird, illustrated by Bill Reiser." Insured post. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Reiser, Bill (Article Illustrator) (ilustrador). Signed by Subject.…
