Presentation inscription to the previous owner on the ffep. Includes a full etymological vocabulary at the end of the book. A massive book, internally clean and solid with rubbing to extremities and a couple of short scrapes to the leather at the edge. Preface dated August 1, 1855. Invaluable as a reference to the geography (political and physical), commerce, education, religion, flora and fauna, and attitudes of the times. Very good.
