Fifth theatre in the Chanin chain and the smallest as it aimed to be the home of intimate plays, comfortable, modern terra cotta Spanish architecture with interior ala Mission Revival style decorated in pastel shades, trimmed in grayish blues and reds, a decor that appealed to critics more than many of the plays. Young Love lasted for a not considerable, hardly profitable 87 performances. Seating was always a problem and good plays couldn't get all the goers in that so desired. Golden was manager in 1937, renamed the place for himself and sold it to the Shuberts in 1950.…
