The original dust jacket has rubbing at edges and at creases, some loss along upper front top edge, 7cm tear with crinkle top front, 3cm tear upper rear near spine with crinkles, some tan soiling spots rear panel, price-clipped front flap corner. One of the few earlier photo essays of these fine, glaciated peaks. Manning gives detailed accounts of his tramps & climbs, including an ascent of Mt Shuksan with unplanned bivouac near summit. Photos & text include Glacier Pk, Dome Pk, Spider Mtn, Shuksan & vicinity, Luna Cirque, Mt Baker, Mt Challenger, Pickets, etc. The book measures 31cm tall x 25cm, and has 143 pages, 16 color & 84 b/w photos.
