Sottotitolata «rivista artistica e letteraria che esce quattro volte all'anno», Verve subirà una sospensione parziale dell'attività durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, pubblicando numeri speciali di 40 pagine dedicati ai manoscritti medievali, principio che Tériade proseguì in seguito.
