There is visible shelf ware rubbing along the edges / corners and along the edge of the spine. The boards are covered in a clear plastic wrapper. There is minimal spotting on the front and back inside boards and end papers. The rest of the pages are in a very good condition. There is neat pen writing on the front end paper, dated 1957. The pages are in a near fine condition, with black and white pictorial illustrations. There is a frontispiece black and white illustration of a child. There are blank pages after each section and towards the back of the book and there is also an Advertisement section at the back not numbered in the main page numbers. This book is the third edition revised. The jacket has a clear plastic wrapper and is in a near fine condition with very little if any shelf / edge ware. The overall condition is near fine.
