Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Good. Isaac Taylor Jr. Ilustrador. Illustrated Edition. **Boydell's *Bible Illustrations.* After designs by Isaac Taylor Junior. London: Allan Bell & Co., Warwick Square, circa 1834. Large folio. Complete with 92 engraved plates. Original publisher's boards with cloth spine.** A handsome early nineteenth-century collection of biblical engravings published in the tradition of the celebrated Boydell illustrated works, complete with all **92 engraved plates** as called for. Executed after the designs of **Isaac Taylor Junior (1787-1865)**, the plates depict scenes from both the Old and New Testaments and reflect the high standard of British steel engraving during the early Victorian period. Printed on substantial paper with generous margins, the illustrations combine artistic quality with biblical narrative, making the volume equally appealing to collectors of illustrated books, religious art and nineteenth-century printmaking. Subjects include many of the best-known episodes from Scripture, including **Daniel in the Lions' Den**, **The Death of the First Born**, **The Baptism of Christ**, **The Wise Men**, and the concluding plate, **The Seven Last Plagues**. The complete survival of all ninety-two plates considerably enhances the desirability of the work. Large-format illustrated plate books of this nature were produced for both scholarly and domestic libraries and remain highly sought after today for their decorative appeal, historical significance and suitability for framing. **Condition** Original publisher's boards with cloth spine, showing rubbing, marking and general wear consistent with age and use. The binding remains intact, although some gatherings are slightly loose. Internally generally clean, with light foxing, occasional marks and minor edge wear typical of the period. The engraved plates remain clear, attractive and highly displayable throughout. Overall, a complete and well-preserved example, retaining its original binding and offering an excellent opportunity for collectors, institutions or those seeking an exceptional source of nineteenth-century biblical engravings. Complete copies with all ninety-two plates are increasingly difficult to locate and remain desirable to collectors of illustrated books, religious iconography and early nineteenth-century British engraving. Please examine the accompanying photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. Additional photographs or bibliographical details are available upon request.
