Closed foredge has a 'vintage' small stain- which does NOT enter interior page margins at all.(See photo). Two pages have micro chips at margin edge; one page margin has a 1/2" closed tear (no paper loss); and page 77 thru page 84 are uncut along foredge. Three lines of copperplate script on blank front free end-paper, dated 1909. A clean and a very tight volume. First published in 1704. NOTE: Small, Maynard & Co. is printed on spine cloth.
