Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good Plus. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. Stated ISBN: 9978650105. Scarce. Text in Spanish, but in point of fact virtually no Spanish is needed as the vast bulk of the book is given oven to colour photographs of Ecuador's orchids by Nicolas Sivstoonoff with a 3 page species list in Latin at the front. In point of fact, you only need to read Spanish for the title page, spine and the jacket flaps. All else is fully explanatory in any language. Lovely full page colour photographs of many species of Orchid. No inscriptions. Original publisher's laminated boards - blind stamped to the front board - and gilt embossed to the spine. The jacket has not been price-clipped; it has a little shelf wear and some rubbing to the peripheries in places. A well preserved very good plus or near fine copy in very good jacket. Scarce.…

"Ecuador possesses an immense bio-diversity, the variety of orchids testifies to that. The presence of these flowers is a thermometer of health and wholeness. When the orchids disappear, there remains little time before the forest crashes in, before life is exhausted, before hope runs out. .Nicholas the artist, speaks to us of the need to preserve the enchanted world, to save it, to not be dammed to die in the infernao we are building." - dustjacket flap.…
