Black pebbled leather-covered boards with brilliant gilt lettering upon front board. Fold-out map inside back board entitled "H.E.P.C. Map of Toronto-Buffalo & Detroit-Cleveland Districts Indicating Similarity Between Proposed and Existing Interurban Systems" measures 21.5" x 18.3" and is in excellent condition aside from a crease and two short openings to lower left periphery. Moderate external wear. Binding sound. 1" x 1" dull patch in lower left corner of front board where label removed. Contents clean and unmarked with light wear. Offers a penetrating view of the volatile debate involved in the early history of Southern Ontario's passenger rail service. (It would be fascinating to know the authors' impressions of today's 401 highway and GO rail service.).
