Edges toned; some foxing and light soiling as well as a few stains to leaves; ink ownership inscription of J.A. Randolph on front free endpaper. Binding shaken between pages 32-33but otherwise holding. Only a good copy at best but an uncommon edition of Binney's treatise with revisions by Nashville, Tennessee minister, Vanderbilt professor, and prolific Methodist author Thomas O. Summers. Reverend John Anthony Randolph (1859-1928) served various parishes in Tennessee and north Mississippi as well as being chaplain for the Sixth U.S. Infantry division during the Spanish-American War. {Rel-Shelf#2}.
