Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: New. Presenting a panoptic collection of essays transcribed from presentations made by numerous acclaimed filmmakers, cinema critics, and academics. This book aims to equip interested students with the tools and skills necessary to explore cinema as a serious subject of study as well as a flourishing art form. Cinema is an entertainment but it can mean so much more to those with the desire to learn. An art form that emerged from a history abounded with change, the essays explore the past and present of filmmaking with an inkling of what is to come. On that account, this book is recommended as an essential reading for students of film studies and film appreciation across schools, colleges, and universities, as well as for the public at large.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Project Report from the year 2011 in the subject South Asian Studies, South-Eastern Asian Studies, grade: For adults, , language: English, abstract: Basic education is the bedrock to do away with poverty and all other social miseries existing in the modern world. India, a multi-lingual, multi-cultural and multi-religious country, is divided into 28 states and 7 union territories with a population of 1.15 billion (according to Census Report, 2010). Though adeveloping country, the country's economic power is growing steadily providing jobs for the citizens and India claims an international acknowledgement as 'knowledge superpower'. But poignant as it could be, India has the largest illiterate population in the world. I interviewed various school teachers and Heads of institutions to find out what is the scenario.

Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: New. Jung in India (originally published in 2013) is the first publication to trace the history of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung's history with India in depth. Based on original archival research, it describes Jung's unknown links with India, his journey to India in 1937-38, the places he visited, the events he participated in and the people he met as he toured the subcontinent. It locates the early history of analytical psychology in India, through Jung's lectures, interviews, talks, and the impressions of India that he gathered during his journey. As the only western psychoanalyst who engaged with India in depth, Carl Jung's links with India signify an important cross-cultural history of early 1900s. The critical introduction integrates contemporary ideas in analytical psychology, retaining the essence of the original work while offering new perspectives. The revised edition presents Jung's pioneering interface with India in refreshing new format and writing.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Essay from the year 2010 in the subject English Language and Literature Studies - Culture and Applied Geography, University of Kassel (English Language and Literature Studies), course: Conference, language: English, abstract: The main aims/questions that will be discussed in this paper are the importance andneed of learning English in today's world right from the primary stage and thehindrances in teaching the English Language in a non-English speaking country, forexample India.Teaching English becomes more and more relevant particularly in a multilingual andmulticultural country like India. In the framework of a comparative study projectingeclectic teaching Methodology examples from the classroom will be presented anddiscussed.Taking a pan-Indian view on the country's education system, we observe that not onlyare there various types of schools catering to each section of the Indian society, correspondingly there are various boards of education following different EnglishLanguage and Literature syllabi. A significant difference is also observed between theprivate and the government schools in this regard. Today each Indian child has to learnEnglish. Keeping this in mind, teaching methodologies are designed. English languagecourse designers in India are trying to bridge the multicultural and multilingual gap asperceived in the indigenous cultures, languages and religions. We follow an eclecticmethod within the classrooms to develop the four skills in Communicative English.More workshops and exchanges between teachers' experiences across the worldwould help us overcome the hurdles.
