Adapted by Arthur Miller from Studs Terkel's 1970 book "Hard Times: An Oral History of the Great Depression," a firsthand account of the Great Depression by Americans of varying socioeconomic status. The play ran for 11 previ…ews and 12 performances between November 11 and November 30, 1980, at the Biltmore Theatre on Broadway. Hughes was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1961 production of "The Devil's Advocate." Blue titled Studio Duplicating Service wrappers, with credit for playwright Arthur Miller on the front wrapper. Title page present, with credits for playwright Miller and novelist Terkel. 111 leaves, with last page of text numbered 102.
