The piece details the importance of the Studebaker Co. wagons and the development of the American West, the pioneering of electric vehicles with phone photograph showing the second Studebaker electric sold to Thomas Edison, and finally the manufacturing, design, and marketing of the latest models for 1953, the brilliant Raymond Loewy designed low-slung coupes.
