His answers to Senator Benton's questions describe the route, the characters of the country, the trade, the condition of New Mexico, and Indian depredations upon the traders.? Storrs provides detailed answers to 22 questions posed by Senator Thomas H. Benton. One of the first important documents about the Santa Fe trade and trail.
