DVD. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Boxed. 2-Disc set; Biographical film about one of the most exciting and controversial figures of the '60s, Jim Morrison. With his rock and roll band, The Doors, he influenced the rock music scene as no other group had."Val Kilmer delivers what was considered one of 1991's best performances as Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone's hallucinatory bio-pic of the seminal 1960s rock group The Doors. Stone cuts a jagged swath through Morrison's life, starting with a childhood memory where Morrison sees an elderly Indian dying by the roadside. It picks up with Morrison's arrival in California and his assimilation into the Venice Beach culture, followed by his film school days at UCLA; his introduction to his girlfriend Pamela Courson (Meg Ryan); his first encounters with Ray Manzarek (Kyle MacLachlan); and the origin of The Doors -- made up of Manzarek, Robby Kreiger (Frank Whaley), and John Densmore (Kevin Dillon). As the fame of The Doors grows, Morrison's obsession with death increases. The band grows weary of Morrison's missed recording sessions and no-shows at concerts. Morrison, meanwhile, sinks deeper into a drug-induced haze, having mystical sexual encounters with Patricia Kennealy (Kathleen Quinlan), an older rock journalist involved with sadomasochism and witchcraft. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi. Final Draft script for the 1985 neo-noir film. With annotations throughout highlighting dialogue related to Mickey Rourke's character, Stanley White. From the collection of practical effects designer and miniatures specialist Greg Jein. Jein was gifted the script by fellow Chinese-American actor Dennis Dun, who played Herbert Kwong in the film. Jein designed the award-winning miniatures in the film relating to director Michael Cimino's elaborate reproduction of New York's Chinatown, reproduced entirely on a soundstage, and so realistic that Stanley Kubrick-born in the Bronx-had to be convinced by Cimino after seeing the premiere that it was not shot on location. Based on the 1981 novel by Robert Daley, about a Vietnam veteran turned New York City police captain who dedicates himself to stopping organized crime in Chinatown. Blue generic wrappers. Title page present, dated September 4, 1984, noted as Final Draft, with credits for screenwriters Oliver Stone and Michael Cimino. 129 leaves, with last page of text numbered 128. The film went through many iterations of production, passing between studios and directors, with Parker returning to direct in 1994 after having initially rejected the opportunity in 1979.…
