Bottom of pages at spiral are loose. This is a wonderful book with flip out head and legs attached to the back. Each set of pages includes a costume with a short poem telling about an occupation.

CONDITION: Very Good Plus; no names or other marks, slight bend can be felt, Wartime paper darkening a bit, a few tiny tears on bottom edge, and tiny rubs to corners no splits on panels. Toploader novelty panorama medium softcover. On each panel, a merry-go-round animal of character ridden by a happy child; in the background, green fields and blue sky, a few people and circus tents. Each little girl has a unique pretty dress: perhaps Stolberg also designed children's clothes? Little is known about her. This panorama was originally part of a 4 panorama set that came in a card envelope. The envelope was intended to be cut apart to form a less elaborate merry go round scene and is rarely found in nice condition. Toy production was restricted during World War II to save materials, thus we see many modest paper books intended to be played with.
