The tale of the 'first post-war babies,' twins, Pookie and Paul Sweetmeat, born on V-E Day. The book tells the story of their last concert held at Big Sur in 1966. The non-linear narrative is written in a collage and cinematic style, splicing together wire taps, commercials, concert announcements with baby boom generation feedback on the cusp of the summer of love. Very good book; very good dust jacket, spine ends gently chipped, edges worn with creases, else light soiling Hardcover, [quarto], green cloth boards, white spine titles, brown endpapers, pictorial dust jacket, 241 pp.
