Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. 1st Edition. A charming postwar wedding song published during the golden age of American popular sheet music. Best known for children's classics such as Frosty the Snow Man, lyricist Steve Nelson collaborated here with Ed Nelson, Jr. and Jack Rollins to create a sentimental matrimonial ballad intended for home piano performance. The attractive monochromatic green cover evokes soft clouds and wedding imagery while the interior contains the complete piano-vocal score with lyrics. The rear cover advertises contemporary Hill and Range folios and publications, providing an appealing snapshot of the publisher's early-1950s catalog. Condition: Very Good. Light overall age toning with scattered handling wear. Small pencil ownership inscription ("Whitman") in the upper left corner of the front cover. Original 50c price sticker remains affixed to the front cover. Minor corner creasing, light edge wear, and a small closed tear at the fore-edge fold. Interior music pages are clean, complete, and fully legible with no significant markings noted. Center fold remains sound and securely attached. First sheet music edition published in 1950 by Hill and Range Songs, Inc. Copyright page bears the original 1950 copyright with no evidence of a later reprint. Original publisher's price sticker and period advertising on the rear cover support an early issue. This piece connects several important figures in mid-century American songwriting. Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins would achieve lasting fame as co-writers of Frosty the Snow Man later in 1950, making this wedding ballad an interesting contemporary work from the same exceptionally productive period in their careers. Hill and Range Songs was one of Nashville's most influential music publishers, representing many country, western, gospel, and popular composers during the postwar era. Steve Nelson (1907-1981) was an American songwriter remembered for co-writing Frosty the Snow Man, one of the most enduring Christmas songs of the twentieth century. Jack Rollins (1906-1973) was a prolific lyricist and publisher whose work ranged from popular songs to holiday standards, often collaborating with Steve Nelson. Ed Nelson, Jr. contributed to numerous popular compositions during the mid-century period, though he remains less widely documented than his collaborators.…
