Includes the satirical poem "The Sot-Weed Factor" which novelist John Barth mined for his famous 20th century satirical novel, "The Sot-Weed Factor.…" Also includes lesser known verse by Cook as well as an illustration of the cover of the Cook Sot Weed Factor. 102 pages. The front cover and the first two pages (the title page and a blank endpaper) are detached and the backing is exposed. There is a chip and two closed tears on the cover. Internal pages are near fine.

Covers of Part II are clean and intact overall but have a large chip measuring 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" in upper-right corner on front (text unaffected), slight browning, a few smudges to front, and several chips along edges. Part II is a Good copy. Together as a set, Parts I and II are Good. A two-part set of pamphlets about Maryland during the English Civil Wars. Part I is Nos. 11-12 (November-December 1906) in Series XXIV of the Johns Hopkins University Studies in Historical and Political Science. Part II is Nos. 4-5 (April-May 1907) in Series XXV of the Johns Hopkins series. Both pamphlets authored by Bernard C. Steiner. The Johns Hopkins series was published monthly and edited by H. B.
