It resulted from a collaborative project between several major universities to document the influence of Netherlandish printing culture in Central Europe. The publication provides an in-depth look at the presence and impact of Netherlandish book production in Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia between the years 1500 and 1800. Library Histories: It details the development of major university libraries in these regions, tracing how their collections were formed. Extant Prints: The book serves as a survey of surviving Netherlandish prints currently held in these institutional collections. The work is significant for documenting the "Netherlandish artistic and cultural identity" and its spread into Central Europe. It helps researchers understand the cross-border distribution of knowledge and art during the Dutch Golden Age and the preceding centuries, highlighting how Netherlandish printing standards influenced regional library traditions. The accompanying CD-ROM offers digital access to high-quality images and additional data, making this book an invaluable resource for scholars, historians, and collectors interested in Dutch prints and their influence in Central Europe. -- Contents: 1.
