Mahe II; Acknowledgements essay and Introduction by Carey T. Mackie, H. Parrott Bacot, and Charles L. Mackie. Catalogue researched and compiled by Carey T. Mackie, H. Parrott Bacot, and Charles L. Mackie and edited by Rosanne McCaffrey, Dode Platou, John H. Lawrence, and John A. Mahe II. Illustrated catalogue (pages 1-111) divided into two parts documenting 135 pieces by various New Orleans artisans. Features b/w photographs throughout with Glossary, Bibliography, brief list of New Orleans Silver in Public Collections, extensive list of New Orleans Silversmiths (pages 118-124), and Marks of New Orleans Silversmiths (pages 125-127). The publication was prepared to accompany an exhibition held at The Historic New Orleans Collection in New Orleans, Louisiana from April to September 1980 and at the Louisiana State University's Anglo American Art Museum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from September to November 1980. A good copy of the long out-of-print and exceptionally uncommon book which remains the authoritative reference regarding New Orleans silver.
