Hardcover. Condición: Good. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards show scuffing and spotting along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good for the most part, except for the rear hinge which shows pulling and a few small opening starting. No signatures or bookplates, no… library markings. The end pages and pastedowns have a very faint indication of pencil markings that were erased. There is no way to tell what was written there since all you see is just a few light indentations here and there. Pages show some corner bumps along with light foxing and toning, though the end pages and pastedowns show a higher degree of foxing spots. Penrhyn Stanlaws (ilustrador).

What further proof do you ask, my own adored one?" References The Coal Strike of 1902 -- a strike by the United Mine Workers of America in the anthracite coalfields of eastern Pennsylvania. Miners sought higher wages, shorter workdays, and the recognition of their union. The strike threatened to shut down the winter fuel supply to major American cities. The strike never resumed, as the miners received a 10% wage increase and reduced workdays from ten to nine hours; the owners got a higher price for coal and did not recognize the trade union as a bargaining agent.
