Folio; 1 pages; Image clean and clear, with bright white matting. Image measures 13 X 9.25 inches; matted measures 22 X 14 inches. Full page cover of JUDGE magazine for September 13, 1902. "Rothschild Van Rockerbilt - Muriel Antoinette, my own, my precious! What more can I do to win your undying affection and love? Haven't I lavished upon you automobiles and yachts? And even greater than these, have I not showered upon you anthracite jewelry? How can you question my deep, undying love when you look upon this Soft Coal solitaire ring, and these Red Ash earrings, and this magnificaent, priceless and sparkling Lehigh necklace? What further proof do you ask, my own adored one?" References The Coal Strike of 1902 -- a strike by the United Mine Workers of America in the anthracite coalfields of eastern Pennsylvania. It was the first labor dispute in which the U.S. federal government and President Theodore Roosevelt intervened as a neutral arbitrator Although not signed, the illustration appears to be by Penrhyn Stanlaws, lithographed at Sackett & Wilheims Litho & Printing. or possibly another Judge contributor "R.M.W.".…
