Perron (1798-1876) was Director of the Abouzabel Medical School in Cairo, then Director of the Franco-Arab College in Algiers. Around this time, he was conducting missions to Morocco, West Africa, Egypt and Turkey. He found that French fears of Pan-Islamic conspiracies were unfounded. // VOL XXXVII.
