Von 1934 bis 1940 lebte er in der Schweiz (u.a. in Dornach). Nach seiner Rückkehr in die USA (1940) wirkte er intensiv am Aufbau eines "Zweigs" der Anthroposophischen Gesellschaft in Winter Park (Florida) mit.
