Three vintage publicity photographs featuring Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy from the 1938 film, including one featuring Bergen and McCarthy with Eve Arden and Rita Johnson, one featuring Bergen and McCarthy with George Murphy, Ann Sheridan, and Johnson, and one photograph of Bergen and McCarthy. Two photographs with a studio… stamp crediting photographer Ray Jones, and a mimeo snipe on the versos. Two photographs with a collation number written in ink on the rectos, one in the top right margin and one on the lower right. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Adophe Menjou stars as an aging actor who learns his estranged daughter, Andrea Leeds, is an aspiring actress, and agrees to star in a play with her to further her career on Broadway. 7.5 x 9.5 to 10 x 8 inches. One photograph with even toning, else Near Fine overall.
