Color illustration of New Pecos River High Bridge on Southern Pacific Lines between Del Rio and Langtry, Texas Post card not filled out The Pecos River High Bridge is on Southern Pacific Lines at a point halfway between El Paso and Houston, Texas. It is one of the highest railroad bridges in the world, being 321 feet above low water mark and 1,390 ft., 6 in. in length. It contains steel weighing 2,650 tons. First edition. 16 - 8" x 10" color views of various scenes along the Southern Pacific Lines. Scenes include images of Union Station in Los Angeles, Roosevelt Dam,Carlsbad Caverns, Yosemite National Park, Homes of Cliff Dwellers in Arizona, Oil Wells near Santa Barbara, the Tehachapi Loop in San Joaquin Valley, Palm Springs, Cypress Point, Oakland Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, etc. Views are housed in 10 1/4" x 8 1/4" tan pictorial folio with title and illustrations in yellow and red ink. Folio lightly bumped at corners and lightly soiled at center of front. Some pictures with tiny creasing to bottom corners, not affecting image. A nice collection of views.
