The book delves into the potential causes of the injury and reconstructs the regenerative process, examining the direction and rate of shell growth, as well as the timing of the injury. Through this detailed analysis, the book provides valuable insights into the remarkable regenerative capabilities of brachiopods and expands our understanding of their biology and behavior.
