The full contents of several of the letters are transcribed in the catalog including: a letter from Washington to Major General Henry Lee, a letter from Benjamin Franklin to his friend James Reed, and a couple of letters from Washington to his nephew Lawrence Lewis. Printed list of prices and names of purchasers are also included. The two most expensive items sold (each for $800) were a set of candlesticks and a letter by Benjamin Franklin.
