    Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. No Jacket. Edited with an introduction and notes by Wilfred Whitten and illustrations from contemporary prints including frontispiece. Rebound blue/turquoise cloth hard cover with gilt titles and gilt catalogue number on spine, and no cover wear. Inside front cover is a small hand written library number only, and none of the usual lending library stamps. Interior includes xxiv, 332 pages and numerous illustrations. Rebound volume in near fine to fine condition and published in 1905 with extensive illustrations.

First edition. xxxix,[i],382; xi,[i],423,[1]pp. Frontispiece portrait to each volume, one colour and ninety-two black-&-white illustrations (one more than called for). §Includes one of the most important contemporary accounts of William Blake (Bentley 2723 C). Titles printed in blue & black. Original pale red cloth, gilt and black lettering and decoration, fore- & lower edges untrimmed. Spines uniformly sunned to a darker shade of cloth. The odd slight mark to covers. Minor browning to prelims. & last leaves, more severely so to tissue-guards with foxing to border of portraits (vol. I more affected). Touch of occasional very slight foxing to text here & there.
