Hb, first edition, 150pp, frontis sketch map. Bound in half dk red cloth with green spine. Spine ends lightly bumped and creased. Previous owner's name and date reverse fep, some ink writing to fep, one or two other minor inkings within text. A few page edges are chipped and creased and hinge cracked internally, but still a G+ copy.

A square of paper is pasted to the front endpaper with the following inscription in ink - 'The Rev, Edw Marshall, Sandfor [?] Manor with JS's kind regards'. xvii, 499pp, marbeled endpapers. Black leather spine with gilt titles and mauve cloth covered boards. Oxford bookseller's ticket to foot of the front, inside endpaper. Internally bright, clean and unmarked. Tight, square binding. A little wear to leather at spine edges. Slight wear to boards at tips. Solid, sound copy. Weight, 944g. Dedicated Author's Inscription.

Hardcover. Condición: Fair. THE BROWN CLOTH COVERED BOARDS HAVE SOME RUBBING TO THE EDGES AND ESPECIALLY THE CORNERS, WHICH HAS SLIGHTLY EXPOSED THE BOARDS UNDERNEATH AT THE CORNERS. THE GILT LETTERING ON THE SPINE IS REASONABLY BRIGHT. THERE IS SOME SCRATCH/SCUFF MARKS TO THE FRONT AND BACK COVER. THE BINDING IS FIRM. THERE IS SOME FOXING HERE AND THERE AND ALSO TO THE PAGES EDGES OTHERWISE THE PAGES ARE CLEAN. ALL IN ALL A NICE EXAMPLE OF THIS BOOK.
